Original manuscript journal of a whaling voyage on board the bark "Cornelia" of New Bedford. Chronicles the voyage to the South Atlantic from May 17, 1842 to October 26, 1843, mentioning whales seen and whales taken, the crew's work day, wind directions, weather conditions, and contact with other vessels. The journal is also used as an account book for the periods 1839-1840 (bark "Minerva"), 1842, and 1856-1857.
